Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer (Android)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer (Android) to join our team and work on cutting-edge projects for one of our prestigious Japanese customers.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Android mobile application testing and automation, with hands-on experience in Appium, automation framework development, CI/CD integration, and containerized environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications for global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust mobile automation frameworks for Android applications.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for Android mobile applications.
- Integrate automation test suites with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with Docker and containerized environments for test execution and deployment.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and execution efficiency.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, requirement analysis, and retrospectives.
- Prepare test reports and provide regular quality updates to stakeholders.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Appium Mobile Automation Testing (Android).
- Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile automation frameworks.
- Strong experience in Android mobile application automation.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with Docker and container-based applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Web Application Automation Testing.
- Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud Services (EC2, ECS, Device Farm, etc.).
- Experience using Python for automation scripting.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to API testing and performance testing is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Japanese language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Experience working with global or Japanese customers is an added advantage.
